Born in Vayor, Kutch
Into a family of musicians: his father, Husenbhai Mir, plays tabla for bhajan and santvani gatherings.
Age 13
On stage beside his father
Begins playing tabla at live programmes with his father.
The turning point
First song at Talgajarda
Invited to sing on Gurupurnima at Morari Bapu’s ashram, he offers “Dil Kash Tera Naksha Hai”. His debut concert as a singer follows in Ahmedabad.

Ram-Leela soundtrack released
“Mor Bani Thanghat Kare” (with Aditi Paul) and “Nagada Sang Dhol” (with Shreya Ghoshal) take his voice into Hindi cinema.
